Brew potions in your ominous atelier for particular clients !

Keep your cauldron heated while brewing potions by mixing ingredients and blending the cauldron as stated by the recipes. Serve 5 clients to finish your work day.

HOW TO PLAY:

  • Left/Right click with your mouse to interact with what's around you.
  • A/D, Q/D or the arrows to look around you.
  • The game has a lot so please let the tutorial on for the first game.
    • If you need to remove what was in the cauldron, use the sponges next to it.
    • If putting anything in the cauldron fails instantly the potion, that's probably because you need to heat it by placing wood logs beneath it.
    • Blending is maintaining the click to do a full turn, a sound tells you when it is doing a turn.
    • When finished, collect your potion with an empty vial.
    • Follow the recipes in the correct order and the potion will be done !

Additional Informations

A game made in 9 days for the Godot Wild Jam #92. The theme was "Brewing" which was here interpreted as brewing potions, and there was 3 wildcards: Fuel (Finite resource that can be refilled), Berry So Much (Have fruit in your game) and What Year Is This ? (Your game seems to come from a retro console).

The export did mess a bit with the overall look of the game and optimization, the game may lag when you first move around but after that it should be fine. I tried my best to correct it before finishing the jam so I hope it is still enjoyable.

For those who care, there are 6 possible clients that can come, and a few things hidden such as a secret from one of the potion and a secret technique for blending the cauldron (okay I admit this one was a bug, but it now became a feature).

The ingredients are pretty random but I thought it was funny to keep what came to mind first, if you didn't know the chicken of the woods is a very real mushroom growing on trees, scientific name is Laetiporus sulphureus and I thought it looked very cool ! It is totally edible too, even thought it doesn't look like it.

Don't hesitate to leave a comment with your thoughts, I'll be really happy to read you :)

The engine used is Godot Engine and I made the sprites myself with Aseprite during the game jam. All 3D assets are simple Meshs and CSGCombiners from the godot engine itself.

The music is made by the really talented Noocar: https://www.instagram.com/noocarbeat

The sound effects are made by someone I know who doesn't want credits, I'm truly grateful for those and a few sound effects are from kenney free sounds: https://kenney.nl/assets/category:Audio
