A Wizard's Journey
A Wizard's Journey
Cast magic spells carefully to stay alive !
You play as a half-elf with unstable magical powers. You have an incredible talent to gather magical energy but you are terrible to keep it in yourself. You have to cast magic constantly to avoid death by implosion.
HOW TO PLAY
Stay alive the longest time possible by keeping your health above 0 and your mana under 250 by casting many spells. If one of these values is not respected, you lose. Your character travels by himself at the top of the screen and stop when he sees an ennemy. You play by moving and using spells from the grid.
The ennemy will then attack you and you can cast spells on him with the Right Mouse Button when your mouse is on a spell. To make stronger spells, you can combine two spells that have the same element and same level by dragging a spell on the other with Left Mouse Button. This action can create more level 1 spells of the same element. At last, you can drag a spell on the magic circle to get another element spell of the same level.
NB: There is 5 element spells in the game
Fire spell making damage and burning the target, doing damage every seconds for 5 seconds.
Earth spell making highest damage.
Wind spell making damage and delaying the target attack.
Water spell making damage and inflicting bleed, doing damage every time the target attacks.
Healing spell that heals you.
This game has been made for the Godot Wild Jam #65 with the theme "Overload" and I wanted to make a fantasy game for this jam even if it was hard to abide by the theme. Feel free to leave a comment with your thoughts on the game or your best scores !
The engine used is Godot Engine and I made the sprites myself with Aseprite during the game jam. The music is made by someone I know who doesn't want credit and sound effects come from either kenney.nl or soundtrap. You need a mouse to play the game.
